Powered by Toyota’s 3.0L 2JZ-GE inline-six engine paired with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, the Origin combines proven Toyota engineering with styling unlike anything else the company was producing at the time.

The Origin was created as a commemorative model celebrating Toyota reaching 100 million vehicles produced in Japan. Its design was heavily inspired by Toyota’s original Toyopet Crown, most noticeably in its upright proportions, distinctive front and rear styling, and rear-hinged coach doors.
